FTC Halts Computer Spying

Secretly installed software on Rented Computers collected information, took pictures of consumers in their homes, and tracked consumers locations.  The FTC has put a halt to webcam spying unless they receive consent from the customer.  Thus, it could be buried in the rental contract fine print.  However every future violation will incur a civil penalty of up to $16,000 per incident according to the FTC news release.
